Women Rising

In 2014, the Maricopa County Community College District implemented a female diversity initiative to support our population of women students throughout our District. We believe that our students represent the future leaders in our community. In 2015, the District Office and the ten colleges have worked aggressively to establish the female empowerment network, known as Women Rising, to support this effort. Throughout the year, our Women Rising students will participate in activities, functions, and programs that promote academic success, leadership, networking, health and wellness and professionalism. Our goal is to get the students to connect to their college, commit to student success, and complete their academic goals. 

Today the Women Rising Program is a thriving student success initiative. Participants have participated in district-wide, college-level, and community events. Here is a short list of the community programs/services that the Women Rising programs have participated in:
